I Post Every Day and Still Have No Sales. Why? (And How to Fix It)

Posting every day and still no sales

Short answer: if you post every day and still have no sales, your content is probably nurturing the same people with nothing feeding it and nothing following it. It mostly reaches your current followers, it doesn't turn readers into leads, and there's no system behind it to sell. Fix it by adding daily visibility in front of new people, giving every post a purpose and a call to action, and building a simple funnel (free resource, low priced offer, email nurture) that sells while you post.

Tell me if this sounds like you. You're posting daily. You're creating non stop. You've changed your content pillars three times this year, perfected your messaging, done the talking head challenge, learned to edit reels. And you're still hearing crickets.

I hear this every single week, and it's so frustrating because you're doing the work. But posting every day was never meant to be the whole strategy. It's one piece of it. Below is a 10 minute diagnosis to find where your sales are leaking, then the exact steps to fix it, with scripts and a 30 day plan.

This is part of my ultimate guide to turning content into clients, where I show you the whole system that turns posts into paying clients.

Why am I posting every day and getting no sales?

In almost every account I look at, it's one (or more) of these seven leaks.

  1. Your content is your only visibility. A lot of your content only reaches people who already follow you. Post to the same people every day and your audience goes stale: those who have bought have bought, and those who won't, won't.
  2. Your posts don't turn into leads. Visibility leads to leads, leads lead to conversations, conversations lead to sales. Likes with no reason to raise a hand break the chain.
  3. Your content has no purpose. Panic posting. Guessing and hoping isn't a strategy. Every post needs a job (attract, nurture or convert) and needs to relate to what you sell.
  4. It sounds like everyone else. "Know your ideal client, post consistently." Not wrong, just boring, and boring doesn't build trust.
  5. You're not building enough trust. We're in a trust economy. Anyone can churn out 100 posts tonight with AI. Stories, evidence and video build trust. Volume doesn't.
  6. You don't ask for the sale. It used to take around 19 times seeing a message before someone acted. Mention your offer once a month and most people won't know it exists.
  7. There's no system behind your content. Nothing catches the interest and sells while you're busy creating the next post.

Question Healthy benchmark
Did you do something every day to get in front of NEW people (not just post)? 20 to 30 minutes a day
How many posts had a call to action (comment, DM, opt in)? At least 5 in 14 days
How many lead generation posts did you publish? A few a week
How many times did you mention your offer (posts, stories, email)? At least 5 in 14 days
Did you message every person who commented or voted? 100% within 48 hours
Is there a free resource with a low priced offer on the thank you page? Yes, with 8 to 10% of opt-ins buying
Do you know how many leads you need for your goal? Yes (use 3% as the starting average)

How to fix it, step by step

Step 1: Add 30 minutes of new audience visibility a day

Reframe your content as the thing that nurtures your current audience. Then add something every day that gets you in front of a new audience: posting value in communities where your ideal clients hang out, engaging with ten ideal clients, guest speaking, collaborations, summits or awareness ads from $5 a day. I explain the options fully in you don't have a content problem, you have a visibility problem.

Time: 30 minutes a day (split it 10, 10, 10 if you need to). Done when: you have a recurring block in your calendar and a list of 50 ideal clients and 3 communities to show up in.

Step 2: Turn three posts a week into lead generation

Add lead generation content a few times a week: comment below posts and reels, and story polls. Anyone who comments is a lead. Then add a small PS to your value posts so even your educational and story content can generate leads.

Copy and paste: comment below post

I've put together a free [guide or training] that shows you exactly how to [result] without [thing they hate].

It's the same process I use [with my clients / in my own business] and it takes about [time] to put in place.

Want it? Comment [WORD] below and I'll send it straight to your DMs.

Time: 20 minutes per post. Done when: 3 lead generation posts are scheduled this week and each keyword has a reply ready.

Step 3: Give every post a job

Before you post, write one word at the top of the draft: attract, nurture or convert. Then check it relates to the offer you're selling this month. If you're selling a programme on getting clients from LinkedIn, but your content is all about morning routines, you haven't warmed anyone up for the offer. Your content pillars keep you on track, see how to find your content pillars.

And make your educational posts a mini masterclass: one aha moment or one action step someone can actually take. If they get a result from your free content, they'll wonder what your paid content is like.

Time: 5 minutes per post. Done when: every post has a job and a link back to the offer.

Step 4: Mix in trust content every week

  • Story content that creates connection and emotion, like your brand stories and day in the life.
  • Evidence based content that proves you can walk the walk: results, testimonials, screenshots. No client results yet? Document your own journey and become your own evidence.
  • Video, so people can connect with you as a person. Hate talking head? Batch them in one morning or use B roll with a voiceover.

Time: Plan 2 trust posts a week. Done when: next week has at least one story and one piece of evidence in it.

Step 5: Sell in stories, email and DMs

You don't need to post sales content on your grid every day (in our account that hurt the reach of everything else). Keep the grid for value and lead generation, around 80% value and 20% promotion, and do your selling in stories, in your community and by email. Then message everyone who raises their hand.

Copy and paste: DM to someone who commented

Hey [name], I've sent the [guide] over. What made you grab it? Tell me a bit about where you are in your business right now compared to where you want to be.

If it's a fit: Thank you for sharing that. Honestly, that's exactly what [offer] is designed to fix. It helps you [result] in [timeframe]. Want me to send you the details?

Time: 15 minutes for stories, 20 minutes for DMs, daily. Done when: your offer has been mentioned at least 3 times this week and every comment has had a DM.

Step 6: Build the system that sells while you post

This is what changed everything for me. What if your content fed a system that sold for you, even when you're taking time off? Here's the simple version:

  1. A free resource or training that talks to the end result your ideal client wants, with a real aha moment in it. Aim for 40% or more of visitors to opt in.
  2. A low priced offer on the thank you page, around $27, with an $11 order bump at checkout. When most people take the bump, $27 becomes $38. Aim for 8 to 10% of opt-ins buying and 70 to 80% of buyers taking the bump.
  3. An email nurture sequence that builds trust, then a sales sequence into your core offer. Aim for 40 to 50% opens.

This is how my calendar can look almost empty in a month and I'm still bringing in sales. In one year I took 11 different holidays, because the sales didn't depend on me posting every hour or being on calls all day. Now your content has one job: send people into the system. I explain this step by step in how to make sales every single day, and it's the core of my course Content To Clients®.

Content feeding a simple sales system: free resource, $27 offer, email nurture, core offer

Time: 1 to 2 weeks to build, then it runs every day. Done when: someone can comment on a post, get your free resource, see a $27 offer and receive your emails without you touching anything.

Don't want to build all of that yourself? The Funnel Builder inside Ascendia OS builds the opt-in page, thank you page offer and checkout, and the Email Marketer writes your nurture sequence, so the system can be live in days rather than weeks.

Worked example: how many sales do you actually need?

Example: a consultant wants $100,000 in the next 12 months from a $1,000 core offer.

  • $100,000 divided by $1,000 is 100 sales. That's around eight or nine a month, about two a week.
  • At a 3% average, 100 sales needs roughly 3,333 leads across the year. That's about 280 a month, or 9 to 10 a day.
  • If 40% of people who see her opt-in page sign up, she needs around 700 opt-in page visitors a month.
  • If 8% of 280 monthly opt-ins buy a $27 offer with an $11 bump, that's around 22 buyers and roughly $750 a month (most taking the bump) before anyone buys the core offer.

That's not a "post harder" problem. That's a "get enough of the right people into a system that sells" problem. Once you know your number, you know exactly what your content and visibility need to do each day.

Do this now: work out your own number. Revenue goal divided by offer price equals sales needed. Sales needed divided by 0.03 equals leads needed. Divide by 12, then by 30. That's your daily lead target.

Common mistakes (and the fix)

  • Changing your pillars, branding or niche again. Fix: keep them for 90 days and fix the visibility and the system first.
  • Posting more when sales are slow. Fix: post the same amount, add 30 minutes of new audience visibility.
  • Sales posts on the grid every day. Fix: sell in stories, email and DMs, keep the grid 80% value.
  • Waiting for people to DM you. Fix: message everyone who comments or votes within 48 hours.
  • No low priced offer. Fix: add a $27 offer on your thank you page so a lead can become a buyer within minutes.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I get engagement but no sales?

Engagement means people like your content, not that they know what to buy or how. Add a clear next step (comment below, join the free training, grab the guide) and follow up with the people who respond.

Should I stop posting every day?

No, keep showing up, but stop relying on posting alone. Batch your content so it takes less time, and use the time you save for visibility and conversations.

How long should it take for content to make sales?

With a warm audience, a well placed story or email can sell the same day. With a cold audience, people need more time with you, which is why a free event or resource that builds trust quickly helps so much.

Is it my offer or my content?

If plenty of the right people are seeing your offer and not buying, look at the offer. If very few people are seeing it, it's visibility and leads. Most of the time, it's the second one.

How many times should I mention my offer?

More than feels comfortable. Aim for at least three mentions a week across stories, email and DMs, and more during a launch. Most people need to see it many times before they act.
