Visibility Without Ads: A Daily, Weekly and Monthly Plan
Short answer: you can get visible without ads by giving visibility a fixed place in your diary. Daily: post content, engage with ideal clients for 30 minutes and be useful in communities where they hang out. Weekly: book one guest speaking spot or podcast and post in other people's groups. Monthly: list 50 ideal clients to engage with, join or host a collaboration, attend an event and run a share-to-win giveaway. Quarterly: run something bigger, like an affiliate launch or a summit.
I got to my first six figures, and then multiple six figures, without running a single paid ad. Everything was organic. So if you're telling yourself you can't grow until you have an ad budget, I promise you can.
What you do need is a plan, because visibility done in bursts doesn't work. You post in a group once, get a few comments, forget to follow up, and three months later realise nobody new has found you. Here's the exact daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly plan I'd follow, with the scripts and a 30 day calendar.
This is part of my ultimate guide to getting coaching clients from zero. Visibility is the first phase in that guide, and this post is the detailed plan for it.
First, reframe your content
When I ask people what they do to get visible, the answer is almost always "content". Content matters, but when you post on social media you're relying on an algorithm you can't control, and a lot of your posts will only reach people who already follow you. So see your content as the thing that nurtures your current audience. That forces the better question: what am I doing to get in front of a new audience?

Step 1: Set up your visibility toolkit (once)
- A list of 50 ideal clients. Search your platform for their job title or niche and save them.
- Three communities where your ideal clients hang out (Facebook groups, LinkedIn groups, memberships you're already in). Note any promo days.
- One free resource people can get from you (a guide, a training, a free event), so every bit of visibility has a next step. If you don't have an opt-in page for it yet, the Funnel Builder inside Ascendia OS can build the opt-in and thank you page for you, so this doesn't become a week of tech.
- A recurring 30 minute "visibility" block in your diary every weekday.
Time: About 2 hours. Done when: the list, the communities, the free resource and the diary block all exist.
Step 2: Your daily visibility (30 minutes)
Engage with ideal clients
Engage with their posts consistently: one from a month ago, one from a couple of weeks ago and their latest. You pop up in their notifications enough times and they get curious, click through and find your content.
I've been on the receiving end of this. Someone engaged with every single post I put up for a while. I noticed, clicked onto her profile, loved what she did, and within a couple of days I reached out about the mastermind she was advertising. I'd never have found her otherwise.
Thirty minutes sounds like a lot, but it can be ten minutes in the morning, ten at lunch and ten in front of the TV at night. If 30 minutes a day leads to a four figure client, it's worth it.
Be useful in communities
Post value, share a story, celebrate a win and, most of all, answer questions. My agency spends time in a software company's community where people ask about funnels and sales. We answer, give feedback and offer support, nobody asked us to, and it builds awareness every single day.
Post your content
Yes, still. Consistent content keeps your current audience warm, and some formats (short reels, trial reels on Instagram) are better at reaching new people.
If creating the posts is what eats your 30 minutes, hand that part off. The Content Creator in Ascendia OS plans your month, writes the posts in your voice and schedules them, which leaves your visibility block free for the bit only you can do: showing up in other people's comments and communities.
Time: 30 minutes a day. Done when: 15 thoughtful comments left, 1 community question answered, today's content posted.
Step 3: Your weekly visibility
- Book a guest spot. Speak in someone's programme, membership, community or podcast, aiming for one a week or two a month. See guest speaking: how to use other people's audiences.
- Share stories and wins in other people's groups. When I've celebrated a big month in a group, people get curious about how, which leads them back to my profile.
- Use promo days. Lots of groups have a day where you can share your free resource, podcast or event.

I'm opening up a few guest speaking spots this quarter.
If you run a membership, community, podcast or programme for [ideal client], I'd love to come in and teach a 20 to 30 minute session on [topic 1], [topic 2] or [topic 3], with an action step your members can use the same day.
No fee. Just comment SPEAK or send me a message and we'll find a date.
Time: 1 hour a week. Done when: one new guest spot pitched or booked and one story or win shared in a group.
Step 4: Your monthly visibility
- Refresh your 50 ideal clients. Once a month my team and I list a good 50 and engage every time they post.
- Join or host a collaboration. A summit, a giveaway, a joint masterclass or an exchange where you promote each other's free resources. More in summits and collaborations for visibility.
- Attend an event, in person or online, to build relationships.
- Run a share-to-win giveaway. One entry each for following you, sharing the reel to their stories, tagging three business besties and commenting "done". Most people do all four, which means more followers, more shares and more reach.

GIVEAWAY: I'm giving away [prize your ideal client would love] to one lucky [ideal client].
To enter (each one is an extra entry): 1. Follow @[you]. 2. Share this reel to your stories. 3. Tag three business besties below. 4. Comment DONE.
Winner picked on [date]. Good luck!
Time: 3 to 4 hours a month. Done when: list refreshed, one collaboration booked, one event attended or giveaway run.
Step 5: Your quarterly visibility
- Run an affiliate launch. Host a free masterclass or challenge and invite people to promote it in return for commission on anyone they bring in who buys. I've offered 30% on the paid offer, and on a low priced offer I've given affiliates 100% of the sale because the real value is the new people coming into my world.
- Host your own summit or giveaway for a big burst of list growth.
- Do a visibility sprint. Block out a week and fill it with podcasts and guest spots that go out over the following months.

Worked example: a 30 day visibility calendar
Example: a business coach with no ad budget, a small Instagram and a free guide. Here's her first month.
| Week | Daily (30 min) | Weekly | Monthly |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Build list of 50. Engage with 10 to 15 a day. | Join 3 communities. Post the "looking for speaking spots" post. | Pick one summit or collaboration to join. |
| 2 | Engage with 15 a day. Answer 1 community question. | Pitch 3 guest spots. | Book one virtual event to attend. |
| 3 | Engage. Share one win or story in a group. | Deliver guest spot 1 with a "DM me GUIDE" next step. | Run the share-to-win giveaway. |
| 4 | Engage. DM everyone who asked for the guide. | Deliver guest spot 2. | Review: which activity brought the most leads? |
Targets for the month: around 300 meaningful comments, 2 guest spots, 1 collaboration, 1 giveaway and 40 or more new leads. At a 3% average, 40 leads is roughly one sale, and every one of those people is now being nurtured by your content.
Common mistakes (and the fix)
- Visibility in bursts. Fix: the 30 minute block is recurring and non negotiable.
- Trying everything at once. Fix: pick at least three things you can be consistent with and set targets.
- No next step. Fix: every guest spot and group post points to your free resource or a keyword DM.
- Generic comments. Fix: reference something specific in their post and add your own experience.
- Waiting for ads. Fix: build and borrow first, then buy.
When I started my business with a baby at home, I time blocked everything. When he napped, I worked. Structure is what makes this doable when your time is limited. And when you do have the budget, ads are a brilliant amplifier: awareness ads can start from $5 a day.

Engage with ideal clients daily, be useful in communities where they hang out, guest speak in other people's programmes and podcasts, collaborate on summits and giveaways, and run share-to-win competitions.
How much time should I spend on visibility each day?
At least 30 minutes. Split it across the day if you need to.
